As Chief Executive Officer of DealerBuilt, Michael Trasatti leads the business strategy and daily operations for one of the nation’s premier Dealer Management System (DMS) providers. Under Mike’s leadership, DealerBuilt broadened and enhanced its LightYearTM DMS solution to deliver a comprehensive, enterprise-class DMS platform that is now relied upon by many of the top dealers and dealer groups in the US. This, combined with Mike’s relentless focus on customer satisfaction, has propelled the company’s significant growth.    

With more than 25 years of experience developing and implementing software and IT solutions – the majority exclusively in the automotive retail space – Mike brings in-depth knowledge of automotive retail technology to the organization. Born into the car business, he saw first-hand the need for simpler, better technology for dealerships that is backed by a team of people with real-world dealership experience.

Prior to forming DealerBuilt with its other co-founders in 2008, Mike held the role of Chief Information Officer for consumer finance company NewDay Financial. Before that, Mike served as an executive consultant to Dealer Solutions, helping them stabilize their newly-released DMS. His work was successful in supporting the maturation and growth of the company’s product line, aiding in the sale of Dealer Solutions to ADP (now CDK), where Mike remained as a consultant for several years.

Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech in Accounting with a concentration in Information Systems.
